  • Drop Off Box for Lab Specimens

    Collected 4.05pm, Monday to Friday

    We have a drop off box for lab specimens at the Midwifery Resource Centre for your convenience. The drop off box is located in the room to your right when you enter the College building through the door opposite the resource centre.

  • Clinic Space for Rent

    We have two clinic rooms available to rent for midwifery clinics. Contact us for information on availability.

  • Refer to us

    We are now providing vaccination for pregnant people in drop in hours, this will extend with demand. Please encourage people to book via the website.

  • Young Parent Service

    What should we know about the services you provide? Better descriptions result in more sales.

  • Pepi Pods

    We are now a collection point for pepi pods. Whānau can come to us directly or midwives can take one for a whānau. We collect data on who is needing a pepi pod

    Please note: there is no longer accessibility criteria. Anyone in need of a safe sleep space is eligible

    We also recycle pepi pods and have koha for this.

  • Homebirth

    We hold Homebirth hampers for midwives who are members of the Homebirth Canterbury

    We have homebirth linen packs and instruments available to midwives who have clients choosing to birth at home after the recent closure of St Georges Primary Birthing Unit

  • Miscarriage Matters

    We hold Miscarriage Matters gift hampers for whānau experiencing loss.

    Midwives can collect these as needed.

  • Breastfeeding

    Lactation Consultant Jo King runs a drop in LC service on Monday mornings 9-1pm. We do not take bookings for the drop in.

    We also take bookings for the Antenatal Breastfeeding Classes held at St Georges on her behalf.

  • PPE

    The MRC stepped into the PPE space whilst Covid 19 was a pandemic. We still hold PPE and RAT Tests free for midwives.

    December and January is a challenging time for whānau to find a midwife as midwives choose to spend time with their own whānau. We hold the Festive List contract and coordinate pregnant people and midwives to ensure midwifery care is accessible.
